I filed murder charges this morning on our oldest cold case homicide ever. Not sure if 41 years is the oldest one in Texas or the US...but it's gotta be close.
Spent the day tracking down the suspect. He kind of knew it was coming after a not so fun interview for him the other day. He appears to be on the run. He won't last long.
Victim was 28 years old at the time (1976). Stabbed 38 times and had some other horrible things done to him. Suspect is now 61. We might get to file a 1977 murder on him as well if thing go as planned.
The sister and brother in Jeanerette, LA were very happy.
I'm going to miss this job!
