Are you building it with steel or wood ?
If weight is a big concern either can add on lots of unwanted weight
I've built some 5x5, 6x6 and 5x7 from steel they all get very heavy especially when getting elevated
How tall are you wanting to elevate ?
Also do you have access to equipment like tractor or skid steer to help move it or lift it ?

Imma 6x6 type dude but I'm a big dude and I need my space....especially hunting with another hogmauley like this.. I wouldn't build a blind less than 6x6 again.....unless it was a quick cheap build like gutting a shipping crate. I could make due on blinds I don't use much.

If it is between a 4x6 and a 5x5 I would go with the 5x5 without a doubt. I have 2 4x6 blinds that I bowhunt out of and shoot out the side that is 6' deep. Hard to draw a bow in a 4' area without poking the arrow out the window. Very hard to sit 2 people comfortably in a 4x6 blind. I have tried and it works but very uncomfortable with no room to move.

I'll never build another that isn't at least 6x6. I'm fed up with sitting in a stuffy little blind that is not comfortable. I sit for long periods, and I like to stretch out.

Not to mention the fact that I don't want to be cooped up with another individual that close.

I can tell you that a 4x6 with two office chairs and two people is very tight. Little space to move in if you have to change windows for a shot. 5x5 of the two choices but 5x7 minimum for two people, two office chairs and shooting rest type shelves.

I agree. I built these 2 (6x6's) for my in laws and mine will be next. I currently use a 4x6 and don't have enough knee room with my big office chairs

                  I have a 5x5 and two 4x6s.

The 5x5 can see almost 360 degrees. It can be hard to see and shoot the rear of the 5x5 The 4x6s I can shoot out each window without moving. Course my favorite blind is the octagon I built 2 years ago, its 6'7' corner to corner

I have had a bunch and have found the 5x6 to be the ideal size for us.

Probably building out of wood and LP Smartsidd. I am hoping to be a able to lift it up with Ranger and or winch

Build it on skids, and don't bother lifting it.

If you're wanting a tower blind, there are better building materials.

Always calculate your boxes in even numbers. Odd numbers leave you a lot of waste on 4x8 sheets of material. A 6x8 would mean fewer cuts, and less waste, but the bad is extra weight and probably at least one more full sheet of material used.

Bigger is better when women, kids or seniors will be hunting with you.
