Not a good snake!

I don't kill snakes unless they're venomous and this guy sure was. I was just walking outside in my flip-flops and almost stepped on him .. i had to do a double take to make sure it wasn't a king snake.

They are some pretty snakes. Pretty good sized one too.

Yah I've heard that too. I jacked with him for a minute with the end of the garden hoe trying to get him to bite or strike before he met his demise. He kept trying to get away and wasn't aggressive at all. He finally did bite only after messing with him alot. He WAS a pretty snake!

I've only gotten one short glimpse of one of those snakes in my life. By the time I saw red touch yellow, he was gone in the leaves and brush.

Caught a bunch of those when I was a kid and carried them around in my shirt pocket. Never had one even try to bite. Scared the crap out of my school bus driver with one and got detention hall every day for the rest of the school year.
There was a time when all my light bulbs were not on so they tell me.

Had one in the front flower bed several weeks ago that I wouldn't even had known was there if the chickens didn't jump all over it. They killed it and ate it but it was about half the size of the one you have.
