GPS for dogs

Has anyone had any experience with the GPS systems they make for pets?

I'm talking about the little devices you add to their collar, not the ones we use for hunting.

I was looking at these

Jake got out while we were at my parents house and it took us several hours to find him...not a very pleasant experience.

My boss uses them to track his dogs on the farm. It notifies him when they leave a certain area. They're pretty cool but do need to be charged fairly often.
