Creek Stompin = 2 points and numb feet

I'll tell ya what. The river water is mighty cold this time of year. It was a great day to be out with the family doing a little creek stomping. My youngest and my wife both came back with a couple of good ones!

Here is my wifes arrowhead that she found. I am not quite sure of the material but you can see completely through it. It is one of the sweetest finds we have found and what I believe is a catahoula. Pretty darn neat!

The second Colton found on the surface while walking around. The poor kid almost had an anxiety attack when he pulled it out of the mud. I was very glad to see him pull out a sweet looking point. Colton loves to get out and creek stomp with his old man and has looked his little tail off. It finally paid off for him. I believe this one to be a Lange?

Johnny the first one looks like it was made from obsidian. Clear obsidian at that which is pretty rare. I know the indians regularly trekked to the panhandle to the Alibates (?) flint quarry for such choice stone and used it to trade with.

I suppose it's possible that it was made from glass as well. What do you think?

I'm really not sure of the material it was made out of but am leaning towards Obsidian. A guy I know from this site that I creek stomp with saw this picture and he thinks it is made out of quartz. After he said that, I went and looked at pictures of arrowheads made out of quartz and I'm not 100% convinced that that is what it is? The material just doesn't match up. Now obsidian does match up. Obsidian is a lot clearer and smoother than quartz and this piece is very smooth and very clear. I'll probably post this piece on a couple artifact sights to see what they say.

Found a couple more this afternoon. I wore an old pair of fishing waders this time and after getting in the water for a few minutes, I realized I had holes in both feet and both knees.
