You can get them at Costco. I cook them to medium rare and slice

I do a couple of tri-tips a year. We like it. Solid change of pace. Who doesn't like beef?

Tri tip is a cut of meat at the bottom of the sirloin. Most butchers cut it into a sirloin steak getting more money for it than tri tip. It is a huge thing in Cali. But it is a great cut of meat

As mentioned its a big cali thing. Buddy that got hired with me was so confused why Texans love brisket over tri-tip... until we bbqd some

We've starting selling an angus tri tip and it's been a hit. I still have a few samples in the freezer. Its an awesome cut cooked medium rare.

I grew up on top sirloin and tri tip steaks. Excellent flavor, they just have to be cooked right.

One of my favorite cuts. Its getting hard to find around Houston. Costco used to carry it on a regular basis. Now they never have them.

I like tri tip but it doesn't come close to a smoked brisket.

I put a little smoke on it an cook till 130....The family loves it sliced thin on a crusty roll with blue cheese dressing!

Thought I'd seen somewhere that this is what "the point" is on brisket? I see tri-tip with roast at HEB. Is this all the same thing we are talking about here?

Is this the same as a flat iron steak?

Flat iron is in the front shoulder or chuck area
