The babies are delivered, the typical chaos sorted out, little doc has her herd of cosmetic and cancer patients tucked in for a while and we are off! Ten days in a new land for both of us. Going to hunt the first 5 with Kiwi Safaris then rent a car in Timaru and drive to Queenstown for another 5 days of no plans, wine and relaxing. Should be a good one and I'll keep everyone updated as I can.
The weapons:
1. Hill country rifle 7mm-08 with 120 grain triple shocks. Dialed in to 200 yards.
2. Mathews Halon 32/6 flinging Easton injexion 330's and either a rage hypodermic, wac'em 4 blade, or solid up front. Can't believe I am traveling without a Hoyt!
The targets:
1. Tahr-target #1 for the bride
2. Fallow-target #2 for the bride
3. Chamois-my number one animal. Will be using a helicopter and rifle as time is short and the target list is long!
4. Red stag-my second animal and have paid for one up to 400 inches. May upgrade if needed.
**may add more if we get the itch or opportunity arises. I would love a crack at tahr with a bow.
**its been busy as heck and we are both ready to get out of town!
