Moritz Life time engine / Transmission warranty

Has anyone ever bought a vehicle from any of the Moritz dealers? What is this and how true is it?

They're telling me they have a life time engine and transmission warranty on all the vehicles they sell as long as we can show documents that we changed the oil on time and maintained the vehicle.

As an employee here with Moritz Chevrolet I wanted to get you a response to your concerns on the warranty. The Lifetime powertrain warranty applies to vehicles that are pre-owned only, no new vehicles sold come with this warranty. They do have to be 10 years old or newer and have under 100,000 miles. For example currently only vehicles that would qualify would be 2007 models and newer with under 100,000 miles. Below is details directly from our website stating exactly what is covered.

    "Complimentary Lifetime Powertrain Protection
Our promise is to help make your life worry free. At Moritz, we cover the engine and transmission on every pre-owned vehicle we sell for as long as you own it!

Available on all eligible used vehicles under 10 years & 100,000 miles.
Coverage begins immediately and runs as long as you own the vehicle.
Additional protection available specifically designed to "wrap around" this exclusive coverage.
Covers all internally lubricated parts within the engine and transmission (excludes seals and gaskets).
Engine: cylinder block, cylinder heads and all internally lubricated parts, turbocharger, supercharger, harmonic balancer, timing gear, chain and belt, timing cover, intake and exhaust manifolds, valve covers, oil pan, and engine mounts.

Transmission: transmission case and all internally lubricated parts, torque converter, flywheel / flex plate, vacuum modulator and transmission mounts."

I have heard that they usually want documented service intervals for the warranty to apply. Those services may have to be done at one of their dealerships
