Exactly and besides abilene aint even west texas that is the big country aka not north enough to be north central enough to central west enough to be west. Yall are gonna have a hard time telling the folks in deep west texas that salsa is yankee talk coming from west texas posers.

In east Texas, its hot sauce.
If you need fuel, you probably hear folks say, "I need gas," even when they drive a diesel. If you are thirsty, you go to the store and get a coke, even if its a Sprite or Dr. Pepper. Those spicy tomato based sauces that you dip chips in is hot sauce, and the blended vinegar based pepper sauces are called by name, mainly because they all taste different.
