Calling on the mighty powers of the Green Screen to help find my stolen canoe. On the one hand it's "just a canoe" but this boat means a whole lot to me. I bought it new about 25 years ago and she has taken me on many, many incredible adventures down most of the navigable rivers in Texas, Southeastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. I've caught literally thousands of fish out of this fine boat and had some pretty crazy awesome adventures with her. As such, I'll offer a $300 reward for the safe recovery of my long lost canoe. If I can find and successfully prosecute the sorry SOB that stole it, that's worth another $100. Seriously, who steals another man's canoe???
Details:
I kept it at my bud's place east of Lone Oak, Tx (about 30 miles south of Greenville and about 60 miles E-NE of Dallas). His property has a small lake and I kept it there behind a locked gate and back in the woods. The boat was stolen sometime between March 26 & April 6. It is a green Old Town 169 Discovery canoe with many stickers including a Texasbowhunter sticker or three. At the time it came up missing there was (is) a new home being constructed across the lake. Very coincidental considering I've kept it there for the past 20 years off and on with no issues until now.
If anyone knows of anything I'd appreciate a holler. My guess is that it's now in Greenville or possibly Emory, most likely in someone's back yard. Could even be in the Tawakoni area or even Quinlan.
This old boat means a lot to me. I've enjoyed too many great memories just to say oh well and forget about it. If you know anything, please call or text or PM me. Paul 214.460.3464. Thank you Green Screen people.
