    Ingram, TX Tannery????

I have heard there is a tannery in Ingram but I can't find any info on it. Anyone on here know about one in the area? I have been using North Texas Tannery and they are great but logistics are a pain since they are north of Dallas and I'm down near San Antonio. Just looking for another option similar to NTT a little closer.

I think I've seen the sign on 29 between Kerrville and Ingram. On the left if headed to Ingram but not sure exactly. Saw the sign one day and never had noticed it. Don't know anything about them....

Following, as that would be a lot closer for me as well. North Texas Tannery is great but if I could save on shipping that would be is awesome. I have 2 hides right now that I need tanned.

There are several in the area but they don't deal with individuals only taxidermists

They are in SA and do excellent work. They are a commercial tannery but I have been taking axis hides to them for years.

Thank you sir, are you getting a better deal than what they have listed on there web page? according to web page they are $150 for a deer. I'm looking for somewhere closer to the North Texas Tannery price of $40 per deer.

They used to be 100$ a hide. Quality isn't cheap and I use the hides for chairs mostly. I tried the cheap route and the hides stunk like some kind of chemical. I would love to find someone to do it right for 40$. Good luck. Will follow along. Have 5 axis hides that need to be done soon.

North Texas Tannery does them right for $40. Just don't expect a quick turn around.

That's what I have been told. How can they turn out a finished hide for $40?
                          Ship to china?

Nope they do them right there in Denton, TX. I have a bunch from them and they do amazing work. Just a pain to get them all the way up there. But looks like that is what I might have to keep doing.

I haven't seen any other tannery do stuff as cheap as NTT.
I don't see how they make any money, unless they've got a shop full of Taiwanese kids making 26 cents an hour.
