    Anybody know Chipper Jones?

Asking for help from the Green Screen. My best worker is a big Atlanta Braves fan and his favorite player is Chipper Jones. I want to do something special for him and have him meet Chipper and get a baseball card signed by him. I thought this would be something cool I could do for him. My idea was to meet Chipper at one of the restaurants in Carrizo near his ranch and tell my employee we had to go there and just surprise him. His cousin would secretly get his baseball card for me to have him sign it.

I've called the ranch but no reply. They probably get this stuff all the time. I just want to do something special for this guy. My boss won't let me pay him what I think he is worth, so this is a way for me to say "thank you."

Can y'all help a brother out?

I think he has sold or was selling his ranch.

Can't help in that regard but it's good to know that someone's boss "gets it". Good luck and repost if you make it happen.

He sold half of it to a company my cousin works for.

I have a friend who works on his ranch. Chipper is my favorite all time player and I can't even get a chance to meet him. Have been invited out to the ranch to run hog dogs, but only when Chipper isn't there. I asked my buddy if I would ever get to meet him at the ranch and he said probably not. Your best chance to meet him is if he happens to be in town.

As stated, the ranch has been sold and split in to two different properties, with two new owners, so Double Dime is no more. Chipper no longer lives in Texas and lives back in Georgia. I was fortunate to guide for him out there and I do know him, but it sounds like the new distance proximity might foil your plan. Between his new book tour and promoting it, and his position with the Braves, seems like he's pretty busy these days. I'm sure your employee would love some sort of memorabilia and would be plenty thankful for it? The book tour seems to be east coast based but not sure if y'all would be willing to travel that far for a signing. Best of luck.

                Are you hiring?

That's a great gesture on your part.

Thanks, fellas. I sure wish I could make this happen. Maybe I can get something autographed for him? I thought about going to a baseball card store or buying it off the internet but I don't know how to tell if it is real or fake.

Just make sure it has a letter of authenticity from a reputable company.
