Went to On Target Archery yesterday to have the cables and string checked out on my Diamond Rock, and shoot a couple other bows. I've been thinking about getting another bow, had pretty much narrowed it down to a Mathews or Elite. Missed out on a couple Z7 extremes and couldn't make my mind up on a couple other Mathews bows in the classifieds here. So I was gonna shoot to get a better idea of what I was looking for. The Elite impulse did something weird about half draw that I didn't think I would get used to. Once I shot the Z3, I had my mind made up. Still wasn't planning on buying anything yesterday until the wife said "you might as well go ahead!" It's just bare bow right now, after an hour or so of looking around, I couldn't make up my mind on the accessories. I'm pretty sure I'm going with the Mathews quad drop away rest, and I'm leaning towards copper John sights for some reason. Still got plenty of time before bow season. This is only my fourth bow, but my first new one. All my previous bows have already been pretty much set up and ready to shoot, so this will be my first build.
