At least I think so. A family friend, Joe, passed away about 2 year ago. Retired US Army, West Point graduate, Vietnam veteran. Joe's widow took my father a box of old ammo that Joe had laying around. In the box my father found a Colt 1911 National Match and the original receipt showing Joe had bought it as a Lieutenant in the US Army. He paid $105.00 total for the weapon. Joe carried it Vietnam his wife said. My father said the grips were pretty worn, but the bluing is still in pretty good shape. The weapon still fires although one magazine doesn't work. I wonder if Joe ever had to use it in Vietnam. He didn't talk about his time there and we never really asked. RIP Joe.
