In Bryan we have a dump named Pepe's. It's been here so long that we may have liberated it from Santa Anna. It will make you throw rocks at Taco Casa. Taco, burrito, etc. in one hand, bottle of salsa in the other. Dang near empty the bottle before I leave. Been doing it since I was a kid. That was a while ago.

And here we go. The proverbial " we have a place in our little town that is far better than what you have". LMAO.

I grew up eating Taco Casa at the original location in Gainesville, TX. It was the place to go eat and hang out riding the drag on Fri/Sat night. I still eat it all the time. The tacos are the best tacos I have had. I love a good chili burger with cheese and jalapenos, and two packs of hot sauce. It's hard to believe they have become so popular with not serving any chicken, only beef and bean....works for me because I like every menu item.

As others have said....it's a throwback to fast food tacos and burritos from the 70s and 80s. We had Taco Torch in Waco. Most small towns had their own place. Taco Bell was like this back then as well. Now Taco bell puts a little meat, tons of lettuce and a sprinkle of cheese. Casa goes a lot of meat and cheese and a sprinkle of lettuce. The smell when you walk in brings back memories from childhood in the 70s.

If you are not getting a Chili Burger...aka taco burger in your order you are doing it wrong.
yep. taco casa is by far the best fast food texmex, i can eat bueno in a pinch but i wont touch anything from taco bell these days, cant stand it.

Because it's new and it just opened. Everybody is excited to have another choice for lunch. It will slow down after a few weeks.

But I do agree with GraysonHogs - Calera aint much of a town.

What is the proper method to eat the super tostada? I've tried cutting it into wedges. Folding it up like a big taco sure isn't the way. Maybe this is just one of those messy food items that's best eaten in private.

We go there on Tuesdays after baseball. The Taco Casa here has half price tacos on Tuesdays.

2 tacos and a combo burrito.

                              Super nachos!

Sometimes a chilada and s taco burger.

Always with a 1/2 sweet tea, 1/2 lemonade.

Well u open the front door, walk inside to a lame "b" movie. Order the grated cheese and top it off w/extra mild sauce. And walla!! Taco Casa blows! Oh but in truth I've only been in one, so the other locations may b less sucky
