Anyone know how much corn an 80 gallon salvage drum will hold?
I'm guessing just under 450 lbs.

If 55 gallon drum holds 350#, then an 80 gallon drum will hold 509#.

I believe these are 85gal barrels...not 80gal capacity. At least that's what I was told when I bought 2 for my recent Stand N Fill feeders that I built. I have funnels in both of them and can put "almost" (but not quite) 11 total bags or 550lbs in each. 525lbs would be my guess WITH funnels.

Corn is very close to 6# per gallon so, 80 gallons is 480# with no funnel. You might confirm that drum is 80 gallons because over-pack drums are 85 gallons, if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for all the responses!! It does have a funnel in it. Yeah, I'm not sure weather it's 80 or 85 gallons. I thought the salvage drums were 85 gallons at first but all the hardwear I bought for it was listed for 80 gallon drums. So I'm not sure.

I was taking the picture and I make most things look skinny. LOL

My 85 gallon feeders hold about525 with a funnel so I would say a 80 would hold just a little less than that
