    potential lay off!!!!

So here is where i stand, i currently hold a Operations Manager position for a oil and gas service company, but my department is slowing down terribly due to competitors cutting throats on price. I have laid off every guy i had some very good friends with family's and now its just me handling office, cleaning tools, covering field work, then back to office to clean tools and finish paper work. I cornered my boss up and flat out asked him what was going to happen to me and he couldn't give me an honest answer!! Its time for me to try and find something ASAP which has led me to here asking my fellow arrow slinging sisters and brothers to keep ears open or possibly point me in a direction that may need a jam up hand. I have been with this company since 2010 and moved my way up, MWD style field is what im in but know a lot more than just that and can catch on to anything easily. if you happen to know of anything please let me know.

    Thank ya, Justin

I am sorry to read that, I hate to hear about folks losing their livelihoods. I don't have any job leads but wish you the best of luck man.

Man your story sounds just like mine. I am also Ops Manager for oil and gas co. and been with my Company since 2010. Had to lay off family that worked for me and other employees and its been just me doing it all coming up on a year next month. Hang in there man. I thought I wasn't going to make it through and boss couldn't give me a straight answer. Don't freak out just yet. I made it through and things finally starting to slowly turn around. I feel your pain buddy. hang in there!

i basically handle a MWD style drilling tool, manage hands, manage tools, rebuild tools, keep in contact with Company men and engineers, on call 24/7 365, handle payroll, invoicing( make sure there correct before handing off ) locate and call out hot shot drivers, keep up with shop hands. Basically im open for the most part but Oil and gas is what i know. Im not opposed to going back into the field as ill do what it takes to feed my family

Stay away from Leam if possible. Lots of problems with ownership group and Conroe machine right now

Pro D has been solid throughout, Cathedral has been slow and steady.

Now please don't use what I've said against me and get me tied into anything.
