My eyes seem to work better with green lights. Animals seem less skittish with red but it's harder for me to see at distance.

My only experience is with green. You hit em with it and they spook. Click it off immediately and let them settle. Do that 2-3 times and then they don't react at all.

This works good even with white light from a led mag light

I killed my first nighttime bow pig with a sniper hoglight in red. The pig never even flinched and I held it on him for 5-6 minutes waiting for him to get broadside

It helps to turn the light on over them and use the halo and then lower the beam on to them slowly. Unless you have a dimmer switch then start off low and slowly brighten it up.

I think it depends on the hog. I've used all three with about the same result. Green and red seem better. I usually try to shine above em and bring it down, instead of just shining it directly on them.

^^This^^ I've used a regular light and done this. It's the sudden jolting change in environment that they don't like. Don't seem to notice when it's slow and gradual and not shaky.

I use the WGI moonshine 2 with green leds, not too bright and motion activated. Hogs were spooked first few times but got used to it very quickly.

I would go with red, I have lit up 1000's of hogs with all colors and red is the least likely to spook them IMO. Sure there are times when other colors will work better or the same but overall red is your best choice. There is a reason why almost every video on our website and youtube channel are with red lights. If your looking for a light, you might want to check out our website Sniper Hog Lights as we have a couple different model bow lights to choose from. Our 20LRX bow light is only around $65.00 and is a very good light and plenty bright. Our 38LRX is the top of the line bow light with rechargeable batteries and charger will run around $145.00. The other option is to go with our feeder light that runs all night every night and will light up your entire feed area with plenty of light to shoot with bow or gun. We give 10% off those prices to TBH members, just send me a PM and I will send you the coupon code for 10% off. I attached a video below of a hog I speared the other night using our feeder light. The feeder light was on low power and would be a lot brighter if it was on full power but as you can tell in the video, there was no need for it to be any brighter.
