Moving PST Files to a new computer

I'm trying to move approx. 9.6gb of PST files from one work laptop to a new one. Our help desk doesn't "support" PST files, so I can't get any help internally. Whenever I try to dump it onto a 64gb flash stick, that's completely empty, it says the file is too large.

Any suggestions or help? This is the last thing I need to move to the new computer and I need those PST files on the new laptop.

Maybe break up your PST files or try a different stick.

Break it up into archives by year or something, within Outlook... I take it you're trying to move your whole, undivided e-mail account that goes back to the 90's or something?

I would start by putting a fresh complete format on the flash stick. Or try a different one. The other day I had a problem with a freshly formatted stick. I formatted it a second time and it solved the problem. They're fickle sometimes.

There is a cable and software you can use to move PST files from one machine to another.
I used it when I got a new laptop. Laplink and use the USB cable. It basically networks the two laptops together.

You need to format the USB Stick to NTFS BEFORE you try to move the files to it.
Large USBs need to be formatted from the FAT32 to NTFS to allow larger files to go onto them.
My office uses large PST Files and we archive them to USB routinely. We have to format the USB Stick to NTFS before we can copy the files to them. Also, need to make sure you are not in Outlook when you try to copy them.
