    Walk in cooler AC question.

For those of you who built your own diy walk in cooler with a window a.c. unit
how big of a unit do you use?
I am wanting to build one and would like an idea of how big of an a.c. unit I need.
    Thanks

I'd think the bigger the better? Just my opinion. [emoji1303]

The coolbot website has a calculator for AC to room size. That's using thier controller though. Ours works great!

Don't want to spend a lot more $$$ than necessary.

I would like the cooler for hanging a single deer in October when the weather is to warm to hang them outside.

How big are you going to build? Don't go less than 10,000 btu. 12,000 would be better.

It'll be about 30 sq ft and 8 ft high.

Think it is going to be all about the size of the cooler, the insulation, and possibly when you will be using it. No experience here, but personally I would not build the cooler any bigger than you need it to be. Then use the coolbot website to size your AC. They pretty much spell it out for you.

                      Dimensions of Walk-In Cooler

                      Size of Air Conditioner
                      6’ x 8’ x 8′ 10,000 BTU
                      8’ x 8’ x 8′ 12,000 BTU
                      8’ x 10’ x 8′ 15,000 BTU
                      8’ x 12’ x 8′ 18,000 BTU
                      10’ x 14’ x 8′ 24,000 BTU

Alright I think I got this now.
I think I'll get one with about 12000 btu.
                        Thanks for your help
