Yes, but clearly only 12.5 inch spread on the rack. Better give him another year.

In all seriousness, tracks out of context are hard. The can gives good perspective, but it could be a lot of things. I see sharp angular walls, meaning very fresh. hooves split outward indicating he was moving hard. Does not seem to be a lot of 'smear', indicating fairly firm surface; so he has to have some weight to him to press that deep. The back of the print seem to have not registered, so hard to tell length of the hooves.

In short hard to judge without knowing more about the print. You definitely have a good place to put up a camera and find out!

There wasn't too many fresh tracks today due to the fact that it rained all night Friday. We did see some rubs, and an old scrape also. Hopefully it turns into a great area to hunt. I would guess that buck was moving quickly when he made that track. Hopefully you will see more of him this fall.
