Let the rifle tell you what it likes.
Buy 2 or 3 different ammos and shoot.
      Go with what shoots best.

I think weatherby is 1:10 twist.

Start light and go up. 80 grain gmx, 80 grain soft point, and 95 grain ballistic tips.

When you get one to group good you're set.

There is no way to predict what your individual rifle will like the best. That being said, I have run across very few rifles that didn't shoot the Federal Fusion good to very good. It's a good starter and you should include in your search.

If it were me, I'd look at the Nosler Trophy Grade Ammo. They make several but their 90gr Accubond they load for the .243 is a bad dude

Thank you for all the responses. I'll run some lead thru it and see what happens.

My dad's 243 shoots the cheapo 100gr Winchester super x better than any of the others he's tried... 1/2 MOA but he rarely shoots past 225yds so he cares not about long range ballistics or fancy bullet design, just proven whitetail knock down was all he was searching for.. older Remington pump action 7600 I believe

Try a box of the regular Remington core locks 1st. My Weatherbys shoot this ammo great and it's probably cheaper than other ammo out there.

Just picked up the sporter version in 7mm-08. I have not shot it in yet, but I'm debating between Core Lokt and Winchester ballistic silver tips

I have a vanguad 7mm08 and have tried 7 or 8 boxes. Nosler BT 120s and Barnes TTSX 120s worked best. Federal Fusion 140s weren't far behind. American Whitetail were also ok.

Federal blue box 150s were all over the place.

Also have a vanguard in 223. Barnes tsx 55 gr and winchester power points 55 gr shoot the best. Core Lokt 55s opened up a bit. I only shoot 55s b/cof the slow twist

I think Hornady SST super performance is some of the best ammo out there. I shoot it in number of my guns and have found it to be the most accurate option. Very affective on game as well.
