The best way I have found is an old fashioned magnifying glass and an iPhone. Usually enlarge on the iPhone and use the magnifier.

Every once in awhile some jack wagon makes it past all of our no trespassing signs to the back of our place, they get the message when my wife shows up with the shotgun in her hand to ask them politely to leave.

They do that at my place or my sons next door once in a while. I put a trail cam on a tree facing the down the driveway, haven't needed it since.
