    Camping College Station/Bryan

We will be headed down at the beginning of June for a baseball tournament. We would prefer to take the camper for the weekend. Not sure of the tournament location yet, just College Station. Haven't done any research yet, but are there any good camping areas in that area? College Station or Bryan

If you don't mind a small drive, look at Lake Raven in Huntsville. You can take a boat or use kayaks to fish. They have a roped off area for swimming also.

Lake Sommerville has a couple of decent campgrounds. Not far from there.

There's a nice campers' lot on FM2818 in Bryan between Leonard Road and Hwy 21, another on Hwy6 bypass north of Briarcrest/FM1179. There's also a small, but nice looking one in Snook (west on FM60) about 8-9 miles from town. Gibbons Creek isn't really good and some store their camper there using the full service spots, which aren't many. I'd skip that one unless you are going fishing. Since you are going to be here for a tournament, I'd stay in town.

Gibbons creek would be the closest "park". There are several places around town with rv hookups.

The rv park off 2818 is newer and looks nice. I work down the road from there.
