    World Down Syndrome Day

Today is 3/21 - World Down Syndrome Day. Today I honor my daughter Kaylen Kathleen and all those who carry this extra chromosome. The longer I walk this life with her (and she is only 6), the more she teaches me how to live - unbiased, selfless, non-judgement, polite, never met a stranger (hugs everyone she meets), forgives quickly, tough as nails, and she lives in the moment like no other. For those of you who know individuals with Down Syndrome, you probably know what I'm talking about. For those of you who don't, I hope one day you do. I had the pleasure of meeting Roger Stauback several years ago for a fundraiser and in talking about my daughter he said these words and I will never forget them; 'Kurt, if everyone had a little Down Syndrome in them, this world we be a much better place.' I now understand what he meant by that and I couldn't agree more.....

I can't agree more with what you said in your post. He has changed our lives for the better and I don't know what I would ever do with out him. He has definitely saved me and is the best thing that has ever happened to us!
