Wrapped up my first ever trip to Belton lake yesterday! Man that's a pretty lake full of hungry white crappie. We found fish willing to bite everywhere we looked all 3 days! Caught most our fish on jigs tipped with minnows but color didn't seem to matter nor depth to get bit! Finding bigger fish to weight in was more of a challenge but we had a solid game plan and it payed off with second place. Came home with $520 a plaque and 2 coolers full of slabs! Had to use the clicker on day 3 so we wouldn't go over the possession limit. We had close to 70 in the cooler after the first 2 days and managed 9 pounds both days so I figured it we hit the best stuff all day Sat we stood a chance to finish good! Caught several blue days and 2 flatheads as well and saw tons of deer in the park! Nice area for sure!!
