    Decoying antelope

Thinking about trying it this fall during archery season in SE Montana. Anyone ever done it? Trying to figure out if mid-sept or late sept would be better.

Nothing else needs to be said. Cajun Blake for the win!

          Decaying?

My dad belly crawled about 400 yards in se NM scrub brush wearing a tan shirt unbuttoned with a white undershirt and had a mature buck charge towards him in the final 100 yards. Last charge that antelope made!

I have, and it will get your heart to pumping ! Goats should be trying to rut mid September. If you do it, remember they will seldom charge your decoy until you get inside their comfort zone. Flash that deke at 3/400 yards and he is as liable to gather his girls and leave as not. You need some broken terrain that allows you to sneak in to 150 yards or less, then he will most likely come to kick your ***. Shots may still be 60/70 yards though, they don't all skid to a stop 20 yards away. It's the most fun I ever had and the most worn out I've ever been antelope hunting.

This works on some animals. Depends on hunting pressure. My guess is public land no worky
