Two flats on the way to the ranch last night!!!

Headed out last night from Lubbock to Coleman to scout for turkey and hit a piece of debris in the road just east of Post. Low pressure warning came on just on the outskirts of Snyder. Stopped in Hermeleigh and changed the rear d-side. Got that wrapped up and realized I was low on the front d-side. So I filled it up and headed on. Made it to 5 miles west of Coleman when the low pressure warning came on again. Nice guy working at Skinny's in Coleman let me air up with his compressor and that got me to the ranch. But it's completely flat this morning.

Can't find any visible trauma or puncture to either tire.

Not sure how I'm going to get back to Coleman this morning to get them repaired/replaced??

Did you test it with soapy water or anything? Always keep a small 12 volt compressor and plugs in your truck, they are lifesavers. Plugs won't fix everything, but they are great on typical tire punctures.

Wish I could help you out. Looks like you are a hair over 350 miles away. Surely somebody on here lives in the area.

In a pinch you can use a sliver cut from the sole of a boot to plug a tire, not a long term fix but it will hold air to get you into town.

Well any other trip and I would have had my compressor in the back, but I was just going to meet my parents to get my kids. Figured I would scout for turkey at 1st light, but I'd drive the golf cart in the pasture and so I didn't put the compressor in.

Got lucky, 2 giant patches and back on the road. Fixing flats has gone up, $40 to repair both tires, but beats the pants off buying 2 new tires!

Glad you got it fixed...turkeys have been gobbling like crazy at our farm in Oplin for the past couple of weeks.

FYI: ARB makes the best plug kit I can find. Between me and all my neighbors, I do about 20 plugs a year.

BAited and set the pen trap last night and this morning -- no hogs to be seen. Then after my squirrel hunt, I went to the pen to prop the door open and there were 6 jakes in/around the trap.

Glad to hear that. Our birds acted weird today. Nothing gobbling on the roost at 1st light, actually it was long after good light that I even heard a bird. Saw a pair of 2 yr old birds that gave me the finger when I yelped at them. Then about 9 am I heard a few get going. My dad hasn't been hearing many but we were covered in mature toms in the fall and there are turkey tracks everywhere.

Hope they warm up some next weekend for the youth opener, taking my son for his 1st hunt behind the gun, if I can convince him that 20 ga doesn't bite all that bad!
