Anyone been down fishing in POC lately? Heading there this Fri-Sat and wanted to see what the general report is. Not looking for GPS locations, just if fish are up shallow(reds) and general locales where to look....

Headed down this weekend myself...have not been on the water in a couple of months. With the winds being crazy and the weather in the 60s to 80s I would suggest hitting South Pass or Pringle; or at least that is where I am headed.Comment

da hump! Haven't fished there in quite a long time, but with changing weather, a good wind with the close proximity to deeper water, if it's warm, fish will move out on the Hump quickly, a tide change or two is all it will take. That'd be a good place to start... If they're REAL shallow head to Pringle, still deep Army Hole... If the grass is bad from all the rains/wind, rig up your normal bait (live or plastic) under a mauler type rig...Comment

I was there Feb 19th and fished the jetty. Lots of sheephead and redfish. If I was fishing without up to date recon, I would go to pringle. Its been warm but the fish should be on a mud bottom.Comment

Post Lake has been good the last couple of weeks. Long lake has also been good, but it has a Real muddy bottom. Some choose to drift it rather than wade, but I like wading to South Shore line & just deal with the mud.Comment
