Roll up / Truck bed covers...need some input.

My son has a 15 F150 & wants one of those roll covers to keep his stuff from getting wet coming back & forth from college & mostly to keep the other students from using the bed as trash can.

What do you guys recommend & what sorta cost is he looking at??

    Thanks!!

I have a Retrax and love it. They have several different models. I bought the cheapest one but would probably buy the next step up if I had to do over. I think it's a matter of Lexan vs Aluminum. They also make a remote controlled one.

Check mine out this weekend if you'd like.

I have the Retrax Pro, I believe it's called. Like Casey I really like it.

Mine is aluminum and has a 500# limit, so you can actually stand on it to fill feeders.

+1 for Retrax. Some good suggestions here too:

I have the retrax also and love it. I had the roll n lock before and was not impressed. It was hard to open and close after about two months and then the latch at the tailgate quit holding and would slide open when driving.

I have the Roll-N-Loc and love it. Like any of them if they really want in they will just trash it. But it seals up good, keeps everything dry, and keeps the honest crooks out I am on my second one and do not see myself changing

I had this one before and it lasted until I sold my truck. Which was around 6 years. https://www.extang.com/p-36816-extan...au-covers.html

At the start of the year I sold my Cheby that had a RetraxPro. It still rolled like the day I bought it about 6 years ago. I really liked the cover, but it was not completely waterproof. That is the ONLY complaint I have about the cover. Outstanding quality but it comes at a cost. They may have improved the product (waterproofing) since I bought mine. I think it was fairly new at the time.

PM sent. My brother has a brand new still in the box Retrax Pro he's trying to sell. Fits the F150 that he traded in last week for a Chevy.
