    Why "No Vortex?"

I see alot of threads mentioning scope trades, etc that exclude Vortex most of the time.

Why? Simply a Ford vs Chevy thing? I've had great results with the few I have, and feel they're a great product for the $$.

Vortex is fine for me. I have lots of other things I have to spend our money on so I cannot afford to spend my budget on the finest. Vortex scopes do what I need a scope to do. Not saying that they are the best, just saying that for the shooting I do they are fine on my rifles. Customer service is top notch as well. I do have Leupold scopes as well and their service is very good too.

I just bought a pair of vortex diamondback binos from a tbh'er, used one season. When I received them I was very impressed with the quality for the price.
I'm now considering buying a vortex scope for my 7mm build.

They are great for the price. But they just don't compare to the big boys with the big price tags. Nothing wrong with that. I've got some of their stuff on different things and the warranty is second to none.

I've got a Razor HD spotter and some scopes and red dots. Had a pair of Viper His binos and they were awesome until I looked through (and promptly bought) a pair of Swaros

          This ones about me!!!

Vortex razor stuff is solid glass

Just not a fan of the pst and lower stuff for hunting situations due to white flashing and hazing I've experienced from the crossfire to a viper hs lr. Warranty is good but most other companies have something comparable

Then again I do have some vortex talon HD binos (but plan on snagging some zeiss or swaros next year)

          That's my reasoning at least

I like them, never a problem and much more reasonable than my other scopes

I have some Razor HD binos. And while they arent quite the glass Sworos are, I am about to send them back for a second time to be repaired/replaced. I bought them because i know how hard i am on **** and the warranty is worth it.

So you like them? Do you use them out west? I'm considering getting some because I can't afford the big name brands and I've heard these were good and about how awesome the warranty is.

He is about to send them back for a second time. That's why so many people say no vortex. But hey, they have a great warranty.

I think he is sending them back not because they broke due to manufacturer's defects but his own fault. If i drop my swaros and they break it's on my dime. If I drop my razor and it break they will replace/repair for free and they are not shy to admit it.

The Vortex don't compare to other similar Nikon glass for my eyes. It is not as bright and doesn't let in as much light

I guess. But a lot of people are hard on their equipment yet rarely do I hear about sending them in for repair. Unless it's a vortex.

I probably am harder on equipment than most and I have sent 2 scopes in for repair. Both vortex's that have crapped out on me at bad times. Leupold, Swarovski, nikon etc have never let me down personally. Maybe others have had different results. Just throwing in my 2 cents since the op asked.

I own Leupold and Nikon and like both equally well.

Bought one w/lighted reticle for nighttime hog shooting---even with the lighted reticle, I could see better w/my Leupold.

I've got the Vipers. Scopes and binos. They are at the top end of my price point and exceed my needs.
