    Offroad Tire Help

    Hey there, fellas.

Buying a new Silverado 1500 4x4 this week as a work truck and am wanting to put on some "bulkier" tires. Like I said, it will be a work truck so I was thinking new tires on factory rims. I've always gone with BF All terrains. Any recommendations for a nice looking all terrain tire that wont break the bank?

    Please and thanks

I have ran Cooper LTZ, Nitto terra grappler, and now have 1k miles on a new set of BFG KO2's. I put 60k plus on the Nittos (2 sets). I wanted to have a little more aggressive tread so I put the KO's on my truck. Running an 03 F250 with the heavy 7.3 diesel. I really like the BFG's, but the Nitto's were good. Coopers road a little rough. I could tell a difference in the rubber compound. I have experimented with some of the less expensive tires, but always shave balancing issues..... I am a believer in get what you pay for. I know you said it was a work truck, but I wouldn't want a truck beating me to death. I did run a set of mastercraft m/t's and they did well and the price wasn't bad. My 2 cents.

Thanks for the advice. Seems to be between BFG and Nitto (I've always heard positive things)

I'm running the Terra Graps on my 4wd cummins. They handle mud extremely well for an all terrain. I've only got about 6k miles on them but they seem to be holding up well this far.

I run BFG AT KO2's on my company truck F150 4x4 and really like them. They do good enough off road. If its too bad for these tires we don't need to be going through it and really tearing up peoples property. Also they are not loud, I can be on the phone (hands free) with no problems. Can't do that with a true mud tire.

I will be needing new tires on my personal truck soon, F350 FX4, And I am torn between the BFG AT KO2's and the Toyo RT.

I've got 35" Cooper ST Maxx's on my Tundra and have been extremely pleased with them and they were cheaper than the BF Goodrich's AT.
