Yeah that's a gray fox if a fox has any gray on it whatsoever it's considered a gray fox

Red fox love them some baby lamb. Land owner of my lease told us to kill every one we see. We don't have yotes or hogs due to the fencing and govt. trapper but we do have red and grey fox. Greys don't bother the hair sheep but the reds really get after the babies as do the black vultures.
Black vultures are the worst of all on baby lambs. They swarm the ewes as they are lambing and kill the babies by pecking out the eyes and umbilical cord. They even go up in the birth canal on the ewes and pull on her guts sometimes causing her to die. Funny how they migrate thru by the hundreds right during lambing season.

Not sure what you mean by that, but most reds I've seen have patches of grey fur. All greys also have patches of red.

Well a red fox is twice the size of a grey fox. A grey fox will climb trees like a squirrel whereas a red fox rarely does and not very well.

That mountain lion you heard screaming probably wasn't a mountain lion. Probably a red fox. Reds also have black forelegs and paws.

We have quite a few red foxes here. And they come in a lot of color variations. Red with black tips and highlights, red with white tips and highlights, all black, black with white, and even silver ( grey) colored. My sons cat got snagged off there porch by big fox, in broad daylight, while they were standing there.

I've never seen a red fox in the wild. A lot of folks are luckier than I am. Seen a whole lot of greys though

Set a game camera on it! Would love to see a pic of a red.

We had one have kits in the warehouse loft at work. They would spend days on top of the really tall wooden parts bins at work and watch us walk by. A buddy of mine trapped them and relocated them to the barn where he kept his seed to keep the rats and mice out. Two of them stayed in the barn for about 3 years. They never bothered the goats he raised.

I missed the part about "red", I guess I have only seen greys.
