    Puzzle.

Don't ask me why I think of these things. I have no idea.

If someone is in the back of a pickup traveling at speed and they throw a ball in the opposite direction of travel at the exact same speed the truck is moving, will the ball move in either direction or just drop straight down?

If it is thrown in the opposite direction of the vehicle it will appear to haul rear out of the back. The wind will help it along.

It will sit still at first. But then as it decelerates from the throw and drops to the ground, it will begin bouncing along the road in the same direction as the pickup is traveling.

      At least, that's my theory.

if two mirrors (same exact size) were perfectly parallel and facing each other, with nothing in between, what color would they reflect in each other? lol

All I know is- if your are hauling an empty 600 gallon plastic water tank to the deer lease at 70 mph, and it bounces out of your truck bed, and you panic and hit the brakes a bit, it will sail right ahead of you down the hwy - and that knowledge comes to you from experience!

While speeding down the highway at 70 mph, a fly sitting on the seat suddenly launches himself into the air...why doesn't he get slammed into the rear window?

If you bounce a feeder off a trailer at 60mph - will it get dinged up?

If a fly has no wings, does that make it a walk?

The ball's gonna bounce towards the direction of the vehicle because the vehicle's mass is in a constant motion due to the engine keeping it that way. The ball will lose energy as it leaves your hand and the vehicle keeps it so although it wouldn't bounce far, it would still reverse course. If this were in a zero gravity environment, I guess it would stay still.

Disclaimer: This is a total load of BS, but if I'm right, then I knew the answer all along.

I know if a trailer comes off your truck at 60 and you look in your side mirror and it is coming up beside you trying to pass. You better hit the brakes or the accelerator because it might hurt if it hits you. I know that from experience. Bumper pull stock trailer in Nacadoches Texas.

This is kinda like the question I have... If you are in your truck/car and you are traveling at 65mph and there is a fly in the vehicle flying around, how fast is that fly actually flying?

It is already in motion without another outside force acting upon it. If same fly were to do the same thiing with the window down, it would be tossed to and fro due to the outside force ie: the wind acting upon it. Similar to why you die if and elevator falls from a high level and one tries to jump at the end of the fall. You and the elevator are traveling at the same speed because gravity applies to the objects the same 32 fps/ps BUT when the elevator stops and should you have timed it right to jump 1 foot off the floor, you are not coming back to the floor at a "normal speed" you are coming back to the floor at the speed you were falling..the outside force being that the elevator stopped and you did not..yet
