Couple things changed the way I approached archery. While they may not be a big deal to some, they gave me what I needed when I needed it.
1) single pin sight. My eyes suck and multi pins just aren't an option. That single pin gives me the ability to shoot more accurately and perhaps kept me shooting when I probably would have given up completely.
2) Arizona ez fletch. I'm a cheapskate when it comes to getting stuff done with my rig. I'm gonna do as much on my own as possible, and fletchig my own arrows got me started in the world of tuning and diy archery. The money savings and the satisfaction of shooting a rig I tuned myself is what drove me to keep shooting even when I got rid of my compound setup and went 100% trad.

No they are as far as tactics. Don't act like you don't know how hard it is to sit still in a stand with an itchy butthole!!!!

For me it's when I made my first bow light back in 2007. Went from struggling to shoot pigs at night to killing lots of pigs at night. The other was a release, I struggled to shoot good consistently with fingers for years but when I went to a release way back when it was a game changer for me. Within a couple of days, I could shoot better groups at 60 yards with a release then I could at 30 yards without a release. Here is a pic with one of the hogs I shot with my first bow light as I stalked up to a feeder and shot him at 45 yards.

Thermal optics and a night vision scope for me. I've hunted predators and hogs all my life and got by hunting the wind with a quality red light. A few weeks ago got my hands on a thermal and an ATN X Sight II and they have been complete game changers. Having the ability to hunt in complete darkness definitely tilts the odds in my favor.

The good office chair in a box blind. I went from sitting for 2 hours and my arse killing me no matter what kind of seat to being able to sit all day if I need to. Beats the hell out of the old 2x6 stuck in the fork of a tree back in the 70s and 80s as well as the metal tree/ladder stands....
