    Needed tools!

What tools are a must to rebuild a car? I have all your standard tools such as wrenches and drills and stuff, but what are some tools that aren't as common or often overlooked that's a must? I'm starting my first project and don't want to get in the middle of something and have to run to town to grab a tool.

Plasma cutter, tig welder, water jet, CNC machine, and a rotisserie. At least that's what they use on the TV shows

To add to 6.5 shooter's list

Engine hoist, brake and suspension tools, electrical tester, wire stripper, various end terminals

          Frame off total rebuild?

If so big compressor impact, air hammer and various other air tools will make life easier

garage refrigerator and tv to keep you occupied when you can't figure out where to put all the extra parts once the rebuild is done

used to be able to do it with a flat blade screw driver, 9/16 - 5/8 - 1/2 - 3/8 socket/wrench, hammer, Phillips, and a couple of rented pullers from the local auto parts store.
Now you need a $30K in tools, $40K in speciality tools, MIS degree, $60K in computer equipment, an EKG machine, the ability to program the time on your microwave, and a full vehicle lift.

Have you never built anything before? don't you know that it doesn't matter what tools you have. You will still have to stop and go to town to get some dumb tool you have never heard of before. At least that's how it always goes for me. Lol
