Announcing his Credit Card number to the whole restaurant

Some people have no common sense, or at least no awareness of their surroundings.

Earlier tonight, the guy in the restaurant seated next to us read his credit card number, expiration date, and three digit code out loud to someone on his cell phone so he could buy something that just couldn't wait. What got my attention is when I heard him say quite loudly, "Yeah, I have a credit card. The number is ...."

I thought, "Surely, nobody is that unaware of what they are doing. He can't just be doing this in public." But he continued... "The expiration date is... The three digit code? Hold on. It's ...."

I sincerely hope nobody copied it down. But I know there were many that could hear him, as he wasn't being quiet. He wasn't looking at anyone either. It's like he was oblivious that others might be in the room with him.

But if someone was going to steal his data, they had multiple chances, because whoever was on the other end obviously asked him to repeat it, and he did.

Loudly.

Maybe. The thought also crossed my mind that he might be pranking people, just to see if anyone was paying attention. But seeing how he interacted with his family in the restaurant, I doubt it. I think he really was just clueless to what he was doing. His family didn't seem overly concerned with him doing it either.

Yeah, you can't fix stupid. I was getting my hairs cut one time and the young lady cutting it was quite attractive. She was talking to the other beautician there and was telling her where she lived, what apartment number, what time she went to sleep, didn't have a roommate, what time she got home, etc. After getting my hairs cut I said before I pay you let me give you a little advice. I told her what she had done and that any freak listening would have known more about her daily activities than she should have cared for anyone to have. I told her good thing I'm a cop cuz she was setting herself up for disaster. I explained to her the consequences of what she had done... burglary, rape, etc. She stood there with her mouth open in disbelief.
