    Axis deer around Blanco?

Looking at a lease in this area. Anyone know much about the free range axis population! The place I currently hunt in Kendal county is covered up but I'm tired of the drama.

They are there. Some areas have good numbers to some space numbers/passer bys in other areas.

Oh and I'll take your other lease off your hands. Lol. I hate it when you find a good place but the drama ruins it. Had that happen last year

I see them more in the southern and southwestern part of Blanco county quite a bit, but not much anywhere SE in Blanco. I have seen some along the Pedernales in Blanco County.

In my experience axis numbers go way down north of the pedernales. Not sure why this is but there just few and far between on the north side

The main thing I would look at on the property you are looking at is water...axis Love water and if it's there they will stay, if not they move along!

I'm looking hard in this area if you hear of anymore openings or maybe the lease you are looking at has openings.
