    The Eagles

The Eagles were set to play their 2nd show in Houston on the night that hurricane Ike hit. Rather than cancel, they rescheduled the show to December 2nd. I had bought really good seats for my wife and i as we both love the Eagles. i have listened to their albums for 35 years, but had never seen them in concert {too young, and then too poor]. They took the stage at 8Pm last night {Toyota Center} and finished their encore at 11:40 PM. They were absolutely awesome. Their vocal harmony and sound was so fantastic and they played most of their Eagles hits, plus Don Henley and Joe Walsh played a lot of their solo material. i did wish that Glen Frey would play Smugglers Blues or You Belong to the City, but he didnt perform any of his solo work. The only hits they didnt play were New Kid in town and I'm Already Gone {one of my favorites], but they played number 1 songs for over 3 hours and their encore was Take it Easy and Desparado. If I had flown a 1000 miles to see them, it would have been money well spent. They were awesome. Now we have AC/DC in 2 weeks, cant wait for that. Woody

My parents went and if it wasnt for grad school classes i would have been there. They said it was awesome. Even better when they saw them over 20 years ago. But I will be at AC DC!
