    Used kimber .45

So my buddy has a kimber .45 1911 and he's thinking of selling it. He has had it a few years but it's in solid shape as he takes meticulous care of his guns. Said he sent it in about 18 months ago and had kimber go through it. They changed out all the springs and gave it a good cleaning as routine maintenance. Since then he's out about 40 rounds through it.

It's a super match out of their custom shop. Said he paid close to $2000 for it new. Said he'd make me a great deal. What say you green screen? What would you pay?

Without seeing the pistol I can't tell you what I would spend. But you can find their value via Google.

      As little as possible.
it may be worth $2k to him... but its not new... and there are more of them.

As much as you're willing to pay for it.

That's a lot to much for even the most custom of 1911's, but to each his own!!!

Sorry, there is a misunderstanding. He paid almost 2000 when he bought it a several years ago. That are over 2000 brand new. He said he'd sell it to me on a great deal. Still working out details.

              Used kimber .45

For instance, he had a kimber 8400 tactical rifle in .308 with heavy barrel and McMillan stock. Had the stock altered to give it an adjustable cheek weld and threw a 8x32x56 nightforce scope on it. Then added a bi pod and worked hand loads for it. Sold it to me with hand loads, dope chart out to 1000 (verified) bi pod, etc for 2k less than he had in it. So my question is what sounds like a great price on this pistol bc I'm not a pistol guy.

He who names his price first-loses. Find out what it's worth to him first and offer 25% less. It's just business

Put $875 cash in his hand and enjoy your new pistol. Love my Kimber.

That's the plan. I'd be happy with it for 900. I've seen it. Shot it. And he takes great care of all his guns. Well over 100k worth of them
