Second place...Jimmy Buffet, Brazos county fairgrounds 1974. Show got rained out, the diehards that stayed (maybe 100) moved into the cafeteria and Jimmy set up a chair on a cafeteria table and did a 2 hour solo acoustic show...

        1. Led Zeppelin, saw them twice in 1977(Dallas/Ft Worth shows)
        2. Pink Floyd 1977 , Ft Worth

Nobody even close to these two bands, and I saw most of the good ones from that era.

I may be different but to me there's two different kinds of concerts. One where they put on a heck of a show. One where they just have pure talent. I prefer the 2nd one. Keith Urban played the house of Blues in Dallas a few years back. I actually won tickets so I took my beautiful wife and I can honestly say that he was absolutely one of the most talented singer guitarist I've ever seen. Amazing show.
Another talent is Chris Stapleton. I haven't seen him yet but I heard he was playing Redrock near Denver this year. I will be buying those tickets and flying up there for that show for sure.

I would have to agree. The amount of soundboards available from those bands in the 70's is incredible. On a personal note, 1977 may have been the greatest year for concerts ever. The quality of bands and their music in that year is very hard to beat.

I'd have to say the last Rush concert I went to. They played the whole Moving Pictures album as an encore.
