Anyone hunted recently with Chambers Bowhunting?

Was thinking about trying a hunt for axis with Chambers Bowhunting in Sabinal. Was wondering if anyone has been recently and what they thought about it.

Tough hunt! They have animals. Just pressured.

Axis buck is 275/day with a two day minimum.

I went about a year ago on an axis doe hunt and it is a tough place to hunt for sure. They have a great axis herd and I saw plenty of animals, just nothing in range.

Ya my bet it is pressured hard, it is a pretty big place but they have lots of places to hide. I have a buddy that has 300 acres high fenced and there is plenty of deer but they are hard to find. You would think it would be easier but its not.

ive been going pretty much twice a year for 17 years now,, was there in November.... there are lots of animals, and yes they see a lot of pressure, it is high fenced around 800 acres I think...
I have been very successful over the years which is why I keep going back.. the axis herd is very good with some monster bucks but they put a whitetail to shame when it comes to skittish!
the best way to be successful is not to hunt the same stand that has been used several times over the last few days or week.
Dustin the owners grandson will work with you and try to put you on "cold" stands if you ask him.. the camp house is nothing fancy, cinder block walls, wood frame bunks ( much better than the old ones and matrasses are much better too ).. two bathrooms with showers, one bedroom has a satellite tv ( not big or great but it works)..
they have a cook house, very plain with two refrigerators and a picnic table to sit out,,, also bbq pits just outside the door..
on two occasions over 4 day hunts I have been able to shoot 6 animals ( not the norm) this past Nov. I shot a nice 7 point and a texas dall, had a deflection on a good aoudad, also shot one hog........ one of the first timer guys with me killed 5 animals in 4 days, most of the others either killed or missed on multiple opportunities ( one guys seems snake bit, 7 misses last year and 3 or 4 more this time)...
it is not a trophy ranch even though there are some good animals, especially axis bucks. It is a great place for a meat hunt with a chance of a good animal... his pricing is pretty cheap compared to most places, you can find that on his web site at chambersbowhunts.net.....

milman and Brinkley have been going there with me the last 3 years, feel free to contact them and ask them what they think about it

Do they only allow you to take hard horned axis bucks or can you shoot if they are still in velvet?
