Coolbot meat locker

I'm going to build a meat locker at my ranch and wanted input on the sizes y'all have made using the coolbot and what size window unit yall used. I'll be building it under a pole barn with a concrete floor, so won't get hit by late afternoon sun.

We built a 6x10 using walkin cooler panels. We used a new 12,000 BTU a/c. It would get down to 34 degrees in 98 degree weather without a cover. If you build it under a cover you should have no problems. You can get all the info on dimensions and what size a/c to use on the cool bot website.

Follow Coolbot recommendations. We built ours out of a small shipping container and insulated inside. Cools to 34 degrees no problem.

I wonder if a coolbot would work with a mini split system? Seems it would be more efficient than a window unit.

Ranch owner did the insulation for us and not sure what he used. I can describe it as soft large sheet like material that was silver and soft to the touch. I can text him in the morning and ask and post it .

Just look at Home Depot or drywall supply stores. Closed cell rigid foam insulation. They have it from 3/4-2" at least.

Probably out of my price range sine I just completed 6 miles of fencing and a 970' trinity well this year.
