    Favorite style protein feeder

    What is your favorite style of protein feeder / delivery system and why?

    1,000 lb All Season Feeder Pro Evo. Electric, goes of twice a day for 3 seconds each.

      Krivoman Timed feeder. Can leave open 24 hrs a day or anything in between.

                  My favorite type is the older style feeders with flat plates so deer eat what they want in a short time.

                    No, the trough holds quite a bit of feed, my deer eat it up after a rain. I love that " if your not feeding free choice you are wasting your time " so the coons can eat it all night long ? If my deer want it they better get there in day light hours.

                            Yes with a really hard blowing rain. Lightwind will clog one side but deer always were able to eat out of the rest of it. Those deer would swipe the wet feed out of the way with a hoof or lick it open when trying to eat. I used that style from 1991 till 2005. Then another manufactured feeder made with a feed plate that was very similar from 2006 till 2011. Straight downpours with no wind rarely ever clogged it.
