    Moist soil management

    Looking to create some waterfowl habitat using moist soil management. Does anyone have experience with this?

        Basic idea is to keep the soil moist. A lot of times this is done by controlled raising and lowering of water. Draw down water. Let sit. Raise water a little. Drop it again and let sit. You can plant at beginning and as things grown you raise your water level.

          30 yrs with the USDA-NRCS, when the DU Prairie Wetlands Program started did the design work for Jefferson and Chambers county. What do you need to know.

              Actually not true about planting here in southeast texas. We gave a abundant native seed source for plants that ducks like. Folks plant instead of using what nature gives us, ducks like natural habitat.
