Protest or not, a no-call-no-show is generally grounds for termination in most places.

Problem is, management is not typically ownership. And they did not notify anyone they planned to miss work. Many People these days have no concept of responsibility.
Glad they were fired, hope they have a difficult time finding work, and would love to find out

Exactly. I had a guy who wanted to go fishing once. Now this guy had a five day a week job when most of my guys worked 6/7 day weeks. That particular weekend I had nobody to take his place on Thursday and Friday. He said I'm going fishing, I said no need to be here Monday. He did, I did, and I hired somebody to take his place. He thought he was right, but I knew I was, and we kept on trucking !

WOW !!! Just so I understand the mindset of these folks...
I want to "no-show" at my job that PAYS me to work to show support for Day without an Immigrant Protest. OK.. I got that part...
Now, I lose my JOB because I didn't come to work....And I am mad at the company for firing me.... BECAUSE I DIDN'T COME TO WORK?? Really.....

Heck...fake a Dr visit, sick kid, ANYTHING....But don't tell your JOB "I am not coming in tomorrow" & expect to still have a JOB..
