I use mine to trim the limbs I can't reach around the house. My wife goes bonkers when I do it.

Have trimmed a few with a shotgun.

I'm in the utility industry and have seen a shotgun used to knock ice, tree limbs, and tree tops off of power lines.

I may have even used the same technique to get a U-Haul under a tree and down a drive way!

Not a tree, but a big spot of those bambo-looking reeds that grow in big clumps.

Was a nesting spot for rats. Took the old Rem 1100 and about 8-10 shots at ground level and they were gone. Had to take a big pry bar and break up the roots system. Haven't been back in over 25 years.

I have a buddy that used to run the training division at a large police dept. and used to bring home loads of ammo. More than one tree succumbed to shotgun slugs and buckshot.
