Buying a Whataburger franchise for a different state?

My family has discussed doing this, but we're not familiar with corporate policies. I'd rather not mention the proposed location right now. Currently there aren't any WB's there.

Does anyone here have any inside info on it they'd care to share?

You can PM, email, or discuss on phone.

Curious if it would be worth investing in something like this for the long run.

I thought they were all family owned?

Put one here in Vegas....it seems all foreign restaurants that open here do very well.

Have you contacted Whataburger and asked?

They may possibly know more than TBH. Possibly. [emoji2]

I know that Wataburgers were franchised in the past, but the corporate office decided to start buying them back a few years ago. But that was a few years ago. No idea what they're doing today.

But only people from Texas think that is good food

One thing to think about. Lots of Texans love Whataburger ... but people in other parts of the country sing the praises of their local fast-food burger joints - just ask a Californian about In-N-Out, or someone from Wisconsin about Culver's, or anyone East of the Mississippi about Five Guys ... perhaps you get my point.

Locating one somewhere outside their home range is not necessarily a slam dunk.

The page you're looking for may have been changed, moved or mysteriously gone missing

Yes, they took 5 years to get them all back under the corporate viel. The move has proven outstanding for them. Have not heard they opened it back up.

I found this but really doesn't say if they are doing it or not.
