What size would I need for 7 1/4

For a 7 1/4 I would think you would need the M/L. That is what I wear and same size melon.

Here is my experience.

I wear a 7 1/8 cowboy hat. I have to get the S/M fitted caps to last any length of time. If I get anything else they stretch and become too dang loose to stay on my head.

With you having a larger head, I would go with the M/L option. I believe the XL/2XL would swallow you up.

Any chance on getting a S/M on the fitted hats? I had the older tan one, and it fit large on the M/L size...guess my head is compressed

Uh oh! If that's the case, then sm/med is what Mary needs to order. I would think that would be one of the most popular size ranges.
