FYI when I crossed this time I was made to get a free 7 day visa. I explained to them that I wasn't going to go past the second check point and they told me it didn't matter. I was told that if I ever got stopped without one I could be arrested. Have any of y'all ever run into this?

I always have one . Cost $20 for 6 months. May not ever need it but if I did , $20 is cheap.

What's crazy is I have been going to Mexico for many years and never have been told I needed one. I guess I'll be stopping for now on to get one. Wish they would put up signs or have somebody checking for them at the border. That way people know that they are needed.
